SPRING 2023

Welcome!
Welcome to everyone who has moved onto the estate recently. The Directors
and Court Reps are available to help if there are any questions or issues –
contact details are at the end of this newsletter. Please visit: denepark.org
for more information about the estate. 2024 will be the 60th anniversary of
our award winning estate and we hope to celebrate this – any ideas of how we
could mark this would be most welcome.

AGM
The DPM Annual General Meeting for shareholders and residents is scheduled
for Monday 27 March 2023 at Heaton Moor Rugby Club on Green
Lane at 6:00pm. One free drink will be provided by DPM for all attendees.
The Accounts for the year to 31 October 2022 will be sent out with the notice of
the meeting as usual. We hope to see you there.

Recent Works
Phase 1 Painting/UPVC Cleaning – the painting needed to be done before
works on the flags. Going forward, all painting works will be done at the same
time, starting in 2025.

Jet Washing – this is now done. We are pleased with the final effects. The jet
washing in particular has exposed the original subtle colours of the paving.

Court Paving Repairs – these were to correct trip hazards and uneven paving
only, not replacing all cracked flags. In future years, the entire paved areas
will be redesigned, with surfaces more resilient to modern traffic, but which still
fits in with the original estate concept.

Gardening
Trees – The tree lost at the corner of Burley Court will be replaced. Options
for the Dene Court planter (rebuilt to the original 1964 design) will be put to
the Court’s residents to replace the lost tree.

Replanting – Areas in Elizabeth Court and Dene Court to be planted in spring.
Planting will keep to the original estate design as far as possible to make sure
we keep to the Deed of Covenant (the Directors’ ‘Bible’)

Dogs
We have lots of lovely dogs that live on the estate, please be mindful of others
and keep dogs on a lead and under control.

Grounds
Play Areas – all equipment, chairs, tables etc. must be removed after use and
temporary gates must not block access. Please don’t exercise dogs or store bins
on them – they are for everyone to enjoy. The play areas can be found in Dene
Court, Deneway Close and Deneway Mews.

Communal areas – these are for everyone’s enjoyment separate to the
play areas: please be aware of the privacy of other residents.

Bins – should be kept on your property as per Council regulations and not on
communal areas e.g. in front of garages

Parking
Please park with care and consideration without blocking access to neighbours.
Room is tight so please ensure your bins don’t add to the problem.

Committee
We are very sad to have lost our Elizabeth Court Rep John Faulkner who
died just before Christmas. He was a good listener and communicator, and will
be much missed by us all.
Anthony Picot resigned as director on 5 November 2022 and Andre Pakes on 29
November 2022. We’d like to extend a big thank you to both Anthony and Andre
for all their help and support. We have vacancies for Court Reps in
Elizabeth Court and Dene Court, we also welcome expressions of interest for
Directors, please contact a Director or Court Rep to find out more.
